| compositions of nature Finger Paintings, Oil on Canvas What always fascinated me in nature are the color combinations, not only in plants and flowers, no, also in the little creatures like caterpillars or dragonflies. The insects have the most beautiful design in there own micro world, and as more you look at them, the more combinations you find of course. I could literally feel it in my fingertips – my inspiration is asking to be committed to canvas and oil. Seeking expression in shape and colour. Directly from the tube over my fingertips and on the foundation, extending them, stretching them, superimposing them, enhancing them without causing rigidity in dead contours. Providing scope for fantasy and still finding completion. Irregular outlines take shape, a composition in water or air forms. Ethereal shapes like thoughts and as light as fluffy clouds also emerge on the horizon. They pass by, group together and vanish into the unknown beyond reach. In contrasting coloured costumes, earthly creatures fashioned by the wind hurry towards their destination. They reflect an emotion and part of a whole just as we ourselves form part of the reality, as we perceive it. Shape and colour emerge from within, from the very substance that reappears in all things.in painting, the more meditative the fingers dabble in the paints, the closer one gets to express the world of feelings. The conscious intention to apply the optimum stroke of paint can be considered an act of completion, never a driving force or idea. The mind destroys the flow of inner life in its full expression.My extensive travels around the world, but particularly europe opulent traditions and striking natural colours have influenced and contributed to my creativity and designs, helped me find my own style of painting.Thanking you for your visit and please return to see new work as it becomes manifest in this reality.
